The DIA 2024 Global Annual Meeting will be held at the San Diego Convention Center, 111 West Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101. The Convention Center is in the Marina District, which is along the water’s edge of San Diego Bay and within walking distance of the historic Gaslamp Quarter.

Getting to San Diego
The San Diego International Airport is located three miles from downtown San Diego and 10 minutes away from the San Diego Convention Center. It serves 60+ international and domestic nonstop markets, with 500 daily flights to destinations across the globe, and brings more than 18 million visitors to America’s Finest City.
Airline Discounts

Getting to the Convention Center and Around San Diego
Taxi Service
Several taxi providers offer service to/from the airport. Follow the signs leading to the Transportation Plazas, on the Arrivals/Baggage Claim level adjacent to each terminal. Taxi fares from the airport to the Convention Center and downtown hotels are based on trip distance and may vary. If you are traveling from the airport, they will also add $2.00 to your final total. The average fare is approximately $20. Visit Taxi Fare Finder for fare information throughout San Diego.Lyft and Uber are also well established in San Diego and can service San Diego’s airport.
Airport Shuttles
Shuttle service is available to/from downtown San Diego hotels, the Gaslamp area, and the Convention Center. Shuttle service is available at the Transportation Plazas across from Airport Terminals 1 and 2.- From Terminal 1, cross the skybridge and take the escalators to the street level.
- From Terminal 2, use the pedestrian crosswalk located outside the Terminal 2 Baggage Claim Area to access the Transportation Plaza.
A Customer Service Representative will place you with the first available shuttle unless you specify a particular shuttle company.

MTS Trolley
MTS Trolley is a light-rail system that operates on three lines (Blue, Orange and Green) throughout San Diego. Two trolley stations are across the street from the Convention Center, providing convenient service around downtown and from the Convention Center to Mission Valley hotels and shopping malls. Route maps and ticket machines are posted at each trolley station. Fares are based on trip distance. Round-trip fares range from $2.50 to $6.FRED San Diego
There’s a new way to get around downtown San Diego: the electric, open-air, free ride FRED (Free Ride Everywhere Downtown). Download the app via the FRED San Diego website and request a driver. FRED seats five passengers. Check the website for hours of operation.Coronado Ferry
A passenger ferry runs regularly across San Diego Bay from downtown’s Broadway Pier to Coronado’s Ferry Landing. The ferry departs Broadway Pier every hour on the hour from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Departures from Coronado are every hour on the half hour from 9:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. A one-way fare is $8.00 and the trip takes about 10 minutes. DIA provides complimentary shuttle service between the official DIA hotels and the Convention Center in the morning and at the conclusion of events each day. The DIA shuttle does not service hotels that are within walking distance of the Convention Center. Please reference the DIA Hotel list for the shuttle status of your hotel.Please note that you must be staying in an official DIA hotel in order to utilize the DIA shuttle. Shuttle passes will be issued at hotel check-in and will be strictly enforced. A detailed shuttle schedule will be posted closer to the meeting date.
Parking
Parking is available at the 1,950-vehicle underground garage located below the San Diego Convention Center. Rates may range from $15 to $35 on days when there is special event activity at Petco Park or other downtown events. Payment is due upon entry and there are no in and out privileges. The lot is owned by the Port of San Diego and managed by Ace Parking 619.237.0399.Complimentary DIA Shuttle

Please note that you must be staying at an official DIA hotel to utilize the DIA shuttle. A shuttle pass is required and can be picked up at the Hotel Desk, located in the Sails Pavilion of the San Diego Convention Center. A pass will not be needed for the first hotel pickup on Monday but will be strictly enforced beyond that time.
