DIA Announces 2019 Americas Inspire Award Winners

Winners will be Recognized at the DIA 2019 Global Annual Meeting

DIA, founded as the Drug Information Association, announced today the recipients of the 2019 DIA Americas Inspire Awards. These awards combine recognition of those individuals in the Americas region who have provided outstanding contributions to advancing global health with volunteer service awards that honor exceptional leadership, commitment to service, and advancement of DIA’s mission.

The DIA Americas Inspire Awards include the Outstanding Contribution to Health Award and the Excellence in Service Award.

Recipients of the 2019 DIA Americas Inspire Awards

Outstanding Contribution to Health for significant and innovative contributions toward advancing global health:

Excellence in Service Award for the “members of the year” who have consistently provided outstanding service as a DIA volunteer, contributing to the advancement of DIA’s mission:

  • Jonathan Andrus, Chief Business Officer, Clinical Ink, Inc.
  • Linda Bowen, RAC (US, EU, CAN), FRAPS, Head of Regulatory Policy and Intelligence, Seattle Genetics
  • Kim Quaintance-Lunn, Vice President and Head, Regulatory Policy, Bayer

Leader of Tomorrow Award for a student or young professional who has made meaningful contributions to DIA and demonstrated outstanding local contributions to their student chapter or region:

  • Casey Walker, Howard University

“The DIA Inspires Awards are a recognition of extraordinary contributions to healthcare by DIA members and volunteers. This year’s winners have helped create products that make patients better faster – and volunteered their precious time to achieve the DIA mission. On behalf of DIA, I congratulate these exceptional members of our community and could not be more proud of their contributions,” Sudip Parikh, PhD, Senior Vice President & Managing Director, DIA Americas.

These awards will be presented at the DIA Inspires 2019 Annual Celebration of Volunteerism to be held on Monday, June 24 at the upcoming DIA 2019 Global Annual Meeting in San Diego, CA June 23-27. The event is being held to honor extraordinary achievements in healthcare and DIA’s most devoted and engaged volunteers who have dedicated their energy and enthusiasm to make these achievements possible.
