The What, Why and How of Coaching and Its Application in the Work Place

There has been a boost in the practice of coaching, whether it is personal, life, health or business coaching, in all aspects of life. Why are some companies in the pharmaceutical industry embedding coaching programs and building coaching into their core skill set? This session will build an understanding of what coaching is and look at how business coaching has been applied in different settings of the pharmaceutical industry.
**Due to workshop format, seating will be limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis.
The Walter E. Washington Convention Center has stringent regulations on maximum room capacities, and they are strictly enforced. Once all seats are occupied, DIA will be required to close the workshop, and no more participants will be admitted. Interested attendees are encouraged to arrive at workshops early in order to ensure seating. Please note, as a workshop with interactivity, this offering will not be recorded.
Learning Objective : Discuss what coaching is and is not; Explain where it can be best applied; Examine the benefits of using coaching in a fast changing industry; Discuss the actual application of coaching across different companies; Provide potential resources on how to start and sustain a coaching program.
