Africa is ravaged by the worst outbreak of Ebola virus disease ever witnessed. This forum will discuss how catalyzed by this crisis, a global consortia is collaborating to deliver unprecedented data standardization to maximize the scientific output of collective research.

Learning Objective : Describe the challenges and innovations of clinical research and data management in epidemics; Identify the value of harmonizing data collection forms and data formats to enable data aggregation and comparisons across studies; Determine how to leverage global consensus-based data standards to improve patient outcomes in epidemics and other disease areas.
